Our Little Juniors!

Our goal in showing was, we wanted something that we could do as a family. We each assumed our roles, with Bonnie being responsible for showing the dogs in the breed ring, and Eric being the camera man, driver and set-up man. The girls wanted to try their hand at showing as well, but in the Junior ring.

Sara, our oldest, got first place with Bailey her first time in the junior ring. Of all days, Bailey decided she didn't want to stack and just wasn't crazy about being in the ring, but Sara kept her cool and the judge told her that she picked her for first place because she showed how to handle a dog and to stay calm, all at the same time.

Beth, our youngest, decided that she too wanted to try her hand at Juniors, and on her 10th birthday, she got her junior number. On her first time out, she got second place!

Both girls have done well in juniors and also both have gotten Best of Breed with Bailey in the regular breed ring. Of course they just had to “rub it in” big time, because both times were against me (Mom) in the ring. LOL I hated to burst their big bubbles, when I said “it is ok, because your winning still kept it in the family.” LOL

We are very proud of both of our girls and their accomplishments. They worked hard at taking classes, and have both been asked by other show people to take their dogs in the rings at fun matches, which was quite an honor to be asked.
