CH. PINEBROOK SPECIAL ANGEL

"CHANDLER"

DOB 2/25/04

Sire: CAN/AM CH ERAS DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC, "Oliver"
DAM: CH ERAS IRISH CREAM AT PINEBROOK, "Bailey"
BREEDERS/OWNERS: Eric & Bonnie Kramer

Chandler is our first homebred champion. To those who are not familiar with that, it basically means, that we bred the dog, (he is out of our Bailey) and we own him, and in doing both of these, that enabled him to be shown in a special class called Bred by Exhibitor ( BBE). When I had Margie help me evaluate this litter for those that were show and companion bound, she and I both saw that he had something special about him. He at 7 weeks of age had a beautiful perfect selfstack! A puppy this balanced at 7 weeks, had to be a keeper!

Chandler's litter sister, "Halo" was equally as balanced as him, and while our daughter Beth, "begged" to keep her, we made the decision to send her to Canada to be loved and shown by Paula Martel-Lavallie and we don't regret that decision for one minute.

We decided it was in our best interest to keep a male since Bonnie loves to show so much. We knew in keeping a female again, basically once they have puppies and heat cycles, they have a tendency to lose some of their coat etc. and we decided a male would make more sense if we were thinking about "Specialing" a dog for those very reasons.

Chandler is definitely a mama's boy and I wouldn't have it any other way. The boys in this breed are so sweet! He would do whatever he had to, in order to please me, and because of this relationship, he showed extremely well in the ring for me. He loves to be a "pleaser" no matter what he has to do to accomplish that, and so training him came very easy. He is truly the definition of a "Velcro" dog. He is EVERYWHERE we are, yes even the bathroom. LOL

His registered name came VERY easy, because we feel that since we got Bailey after Bonnie's dad past away, and he was her son, that he was without a doubt a PINEBROOK SPECIAL ANGEL. Bonnie's dad LOVED his dogs and we felt Chandler would have been dad's special angel if he were still alive, and so in his memory we came up with the above registered name. As luck would have it, he has always fit the bill too.

When Bonnie started to show him, Chandler was NOT a happy camper in class. He seemed to almost hate going to class and would turn into a pretzel like bend, when the person running the class would touch him. Knowing this went on this way at EVERY single class, we entered Chandler in his first show anyway, and were a little worried that we may have just thrown away an entry fee! But to our TOTAL surprise, Chandler took off and pranced his heart out. I know I must have looked dumbfounded, because I sure felt that way. It was like he was saying, he didn’t care how he acted in class, but he knew this was the real thing and he would show us.

He was a happy, content little boy and this continued this way, for 4 show weekends ( one month of showing) and he finished his championship at the tender age of 7 months. He completed his championship in Morris, IL on 10/3/04 with a total of 4 majors. It is ironic, as this is the very same show site that Bailey had won her first win at, and then his dad, Oliver, got a Group 1 win as well.

We once again have Margie to thank for this little boy. She saw such great potential in him and really encouraged me to run him on and give him a try and he sure proved her right. He truly is our PINEBROOK SPECIAL ANGEL. We just hope he will some day follow in his wonderful daddy’s footsteps when we special him in another year.

Oliver and Bailey, you definitely did well here. Thanks for our Special Angel.
