Of course as luck would have it, it was a very cold winter, but Abby was a true trooper. She donned her doggy sweater complete with safety pins (HA HA), so it wouldn't fall off and proceeded with her potty training. She wanted to be where Bailey was, and if that meant outside even for a brief minute to go, then she didn't care. I guess in a sense I have Bailey to thank for potty training Abby.We had to once again think of a registered name for her, and the theme Margie had selected for this litter was “Magic” which was from the Registered name of Abby's sire. Well, we knew we wanted “Abby'' for a call name. We came up with the name of “ ERAS Abracadabra at Pinebrook”. The AKC informed us that “Abracadabra” was the registered kennel name of another breeder and so we had to change this portion of her name. We looked up Abracadabra and discovered something similar was “Hocus Pocus''. So we quickly cast the spell so to speak and she became "ERAS HOCUS POCUS AT PINEBROOK''. |

Abby was not as much and still isn't a “talker” like Bailey, but she wants to be part of the action nonetheless, and is perfectly content just to sit while her sister does all the talking.
Abby who wasn't a crate lover at first (she still prefers the pillow at the head of the bed thank you, thus she got the nickname “Princess”), but now all you have to do is say “crate girls” and she knows what you mean, and heads right for it. She sleeps in her crate, but Abby is our built in alarm clock, and by 6am every morning she is scratching at the crate door. She runs right for the side of the bed to be picked up, where she very proudly takes her place on the pillow.
Abby has a lot of energy and has gotten Bailey interested in toys and running. In fact now their favorite game is “ together we can bring the ball or frisbee back to have our human's throw it again and again.” She, like Bailey has a very friendly outgoing personality. There is no getting out the door without Abby. Don't even think about going to grandma-ma's without her.
While I showed Bailey shortly after she was six months, Abby and I had to start a little later at almost 8 months, but she rocked right from the start. She got BOS over a special on her first show. She sure has shown her “magic“! We are PLEASED to announce that after only THREE short months in ring, Abby completed her Championship on September, 27, 2003 in Freeport, IL.
